Part of an engineer’s job when recertifying the tank systems associated with a Fixed Treatment Unit
by Jeremy Squire
Part of an engineer’s job when recertifying the tank systems associated with a Fixed Treatment Unit (FTU) that treats hazardous waste is to evaluate the tank anchorage. Seen here is the condition of a tank anchor that was covered by epoxy coating. Murex’s field engineer scraped off the epoxy to get a view of the anchor bolt (or lack thereof). Murex’s assembled a team to retrofit the tank system without any downtime for the haz waste treatment operation.
